Michelle Diaz (@mdiazmakes)- I am a queer latinx person/artist/designer/maker/thrifter/seer doing work that aims to be honest, accessible, and true. I specialize in stamp carving, enamel pin and embroidered path designing, relief printing, greeting card making, clay scuplting, apparel screenprinting, ink/pencil drawing, and more!, with an interest in keeping prices affordable. I consider everything I design and/or hand-make to be functional/giftable art, with self-expression and a little bit of grit. Accessibility for and acknowledgment of black/brown/poc/queer/variously marginalized folx is important to me on many levels, and by mindfully/purposefully upcycling materials and putting in long hours of craftful DIYing I am able to offer many of my makes guilt-free and at accessible prices. Self-acceptance, humor, color, darkness, recovery, transcendance, humility, and being able to grow and continually share true selves is the way, for me, and what I offer with my work.”
